Things have been a bit hectic over the last week and I can't imagine that they'll settle down for a wee while yet. However, I wanted to share my first couple of days.
This is my "home" for the next year. Suffice to say it doesn't look like this anymore! It has stuff all over it already and I'll be adding to it over the next few months. If' you promise to be good, I may even share the pictures with you.
We also got our first brief too. Yesterday we had no work and to be honest it was a little dull - we all just wanted to get cracking. However, today we had our first lecture! (My inner Hermione danced a little bit). Our brief is "Heart's Desire" and does what it says on the tin. We have to collect found objects and inexpensive bits and make models of things that represent what we love. They can be based on actual objects - iPods, cameras, phones, cars etc - or they can be more abstract. Guess where I'm taking this?! So below is a shot of something I worked on this evening. It's a work in progress and I've got others I want to make but I thought you may want to see.

Good luck honey, I hope you have lots of fun! I won't tell you to work hard - I know what you're like and are no doubt busy over-achieving.

Me?! Over-achieve?!!!!! It's a good job you can't hear my protests - my voice goes up an octave when I lie ;) I'm not over-achieving but I am enjoying the challenge. As for the pint. It's coffee sweetie. You trained me well xx
