A word of advice

I thought I ought to pass on a life lesson I learnt today.

When knitting a cardigan (especially as a gift) DO NOT forget to make the buttonhole.

I wish I'd remembered this before I sewed it up.

That's funny, but a good lesson...

I have a similar lesson to pass on based one of my (similar) experiences...When project managing building a new community centre, don't forget that it'll need a letter box...

We only realised a month after the centre opened when the royal mail angrily phoned that they had a huge pile of undelivered mail at their depot for us...my old boss still uses that as a 'what's wrong with this project plan' test when interviewing prospective managers...

That's too funny! Thanks for making me feel better.

I've decided it was "meant to be that way" and I'll have to buy a small pin or something to hold the cardi together.

You mean it wasn't meant to be a wrap around cardi?

:-)

And anyway everyone knows ribbons/hook and eyes/buttons which fasten with a loop are the only stylish way to fasten your cardi nowadays....
