The end of the year review

I can't believe that I'm so close to finishing my 1st year.

It's gone so fast and has been utterly amazing. A lot of hard work and some days have been exhausting.

I've learned some great techniques and have decided (as if it were ever in doubt) that I'm a knitter.

I've also met quite the most incredibly "speshul" people. The other week was a doozy. Whilst dying fabric in lime green dye, one girl asked what colour the fabric would go. When I responded with "purple" she looked surprised and asked with genuine intrigue "Really?!"

I've had a really tough rotation this time with Print. Such fun. However, I wouldn't change it. I've still learned stuff that I can use in my specialism and it's also been a useful exercise in clarifying what I want to do.

I've got my final crit on Thursday and as of Friday I'm officially on holiday. (Perfect timing as far as I'm concerned ;) ). I'm frantically job hunting but at the moment it's still quiet.

I'm utterly broke and right now I could sleep for about a week but I can't wait for it to be September so I can start the next chapter.

x
